Parents set two buses on fire alleging sexual abuse by school teacher

Parents and relatives of 6-year-old girl allege sexual abuse by physical education teacher Kumar and set two school buses on fire in Medak District.

Alleging that a teacher had sexually abused a six-year-old girl, relatives of the girl ransacked the furniture of the school and set two buses on fire on Monday. The incident took place in the morning at Vikas High School of Akbarpet in Mirdoddi mandal of Medak District of Telangna.

According to sources one person Kumar, working as Physical Education Teacher (PET) has allegedly been misbehaving with the girl for the past few days. The girl informed the same to her parents last night. The parents and relatives rushed to the school in the morning and lodged a complaint with the management, which did not respond immediately.

The irate mob of relatives and students ransacked the school. Some of the agitators set two buses parked on the premises on fire. Police rushed to the school and brought the situation under control. Fire tenders were rushed in to douse the fire. The situation was tense, but under control, the police said. The teacher Kumar was absconding. The Mirdoddi police registered a case and are investigating.
