After the Educational Department authorities, including teachers and mandal educational officers (MEOs), now it is the turn of

the Tahsildars to threaten parents demanding them to send their wards to the government schools otherwise their pensions, ration cards and other benefits would be stopped.

The Telangana Recognised Schools Management Association (TRSMA) district unit leaders have alleged that the Tahsildar of Chandurthi mandal Chandramohan had openly threatened the parents of dire consequences.

In a press note here on Monday, TRSMA State secretary Y Shekhar Rao had strongly condemned the issuance of press statement of Chandurthi Tahsildar threatening parents of stoppage of ration cards and pensions if they fail to send their children to government schools.

He asked whether any of the government employees including teachers, who were collecting salaries from the government, have admitted their children in government schools for quality education.

He said that the private schools management had given a written complain to Additional Joint Collector Nagendra and DEO S Srinivasa Chary appealing them to stop such unhealthy practice of terrorising the illiterate rural masses by the revenue and educational department authorities.
