Nizamabad district gets good rains

39.5 mm rain received in overnight rains

Rain lashed few places in two districts since Friday night and Indalwai and Dichpally mandals recorded 86.6 mm rainfall followed by Nizamabad north, south and rural and Mugpal mandals 83.2 mm, Renjal 68.2 mm, Varni and Rudrur 60 mm. On an average the district received 39.5 mm rainfall till Saturday morning.

Nandipet witnessed 4.6 mm. Out of 27 mandals only one mandal — Renjal received an excess rainfall and six mandals — Varni, Rudrur, Kotagiri, Bodhan, Makloor and Navipet normal and the remaining 20 mandals deficit rainfall.

In the major irrigation project, Sriramsagar, water level is at 1068 ft as against its full reservoir level of 1091 ft with 26 tmcf of water. Over 6,000 cusecs of water was flowing into the project on Saturday evening.

In Kamareddy district Kalyani project is almost full with water level touching 408.70 mt as against its FRL of 409.50 mt and 179 cusecs is joining the reservoir. In Nizam Sagar water is at 1384.42 ft against 1405 ft. 2.255 tmcf water is available in the reservoir and 1029 cusecs is the inflow to the reservoir.

Singeetham reservoir is full to its brim with 0.211 tmcf and inflow is 850 cusecs. Water is at its FRL of 416.55 mt and in Koulasnala project as against the FRL of 458 mt water is at 455.30 mt. At present, the reservoir contains 0.677 tmcf against its full capacity of 1.237 tmc and 289 cusecs is flowing in. There is no considerable amount of inflow in another medium irrigation project Pocharam.
