NCC Day celebrated

Colonel B.S. Gokula, NCC Nizamabad Group Commander, on Friday gave away awards to winners in different categories of contest during the 66th NCC Day celebration at Group- level held here.

Lt. Rajamouli was adjudged best Associate NCC Officer from Adilabad among others.

Cadets also organised a cultural programme in connection with the celebrations.

NCC Commanding Officers from Nizamabad Lt. Col. Rohitash Kumar, Col. C.S. Krishna from Karimnagar, Col. Ravi Chander from Adilabad, participated.

Among others who participated were Subedar Major Dara Singh, ANOs C. Narender, K. Shiva Prasad, T. Rajanandam, Muthanna and Swaroopa Rani.

Warangal Special Correspondent adds: Three students from Arts College who won NCC medals were felicitated by principal Prof. G. Badru Naik here on Friday.

A BSc second-year student, Sirisha, participated in Republic Day parade, BA (Journalism) student T. Sambaraju took part in Vayusena training in Bangalore, while K. Mahesh took part in NCC camp at Visakhapatnam, winning medals for their excellence. 

The principal exhorted other students to benefit from the NCC wing in the college.

Vice-principal K Ramanuja Rao, NCC officer Rajender and others were present.
