December 22, 2014 02:03 am | Updated 02:03 am IST - NALGONDA:

A 26-year-old youth from Damarcherla mandal headquarters, Damarcherla Saidiah, died under suspicious circumstances in Malaysia.

According to his family, Saidaiah went to Malaysia 17 months ago and had been working in a hospital some 70 km away from the capital city of Kuala Lumpur.

The hospital administration communicated the news of his death to his father, Venkateshwarlu, over phone on Saturday evening.

Contradictory version

The hospital administration told Mr. Venkateshwarlu that his son attended a weekend party along with his friends on Friday evening and returned home but was found dead in his flat on Saturday morning.

When the family members tried to verify the same with other people working in the hospital, they gave a contradictory version, saying Saidaih met with an accident.

Suspecting something wrong, Saidaiah’s father, Venkateshwarlu, said that there were no issues forcing his son to take such an extreme step.

The family members have approached the Miryalaguda MLA, N.Bhaskar Rao, as the hospital administration had failed to respond to the appeals of Saidaiah’s kin to send the body to India.

The MLA, and Nalgonda Member of Parliament, Gutha Sukendar Reddy, are working to get the body to India by Tuesday evening with the help of the Union Ministry of External Affairs.
