Home Minister N. Narasimha Reddy has said Congress leader Digvijaya Singh should tender apology for his comments against the State police.
He was inaugurating the new police station building in Bhupalpalli District on Tuesday. Addressing the gathering, the Home Minister said that both the Congress and TDP deceived people for decades and lost their place.
Since the TRS earned the faith of people, it would continue to rule the State for anther 20 years. It was the TRS Government that sanctioned ₹ 400 crore for police department for modernisation. The State Government would sanction ₹ 6 crore to Bhupalpalli District for three new police station buildings soon, he said.

The Home Minister later inaugurated another new police station building at Gudur mandal headquarter in Mahabubabad district.
Speaker S. Madhusudhana Chary, Minister A. Chandulal, MP A. Sitaram Naik accompanied the Home Minister.
Mr. Madhusudhana Chary said that there was no power in rural areas in the past. Since the TRS assumed power, there was enough power supply. It was the TRS that accorded priority to modernisation of police force.

“The State police is known for its efficiency all over the country,” he said.
Mr. Narasimha Reddy said that the Telangana police occupied top position in the country in terms of functioning and efficiency.
The State Government has been strengthening the Department by all means.
