Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday took exception to Telangana government’s claims that all institutions under Schedule X belong to Telangana as per their geographical location.
He said as per the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, the Central government should resolve any issue if it was not settled within a year.
Addressing a meeting of Ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs, Zilla Parishad chairpersons, district presidents and general secretaries of the party here on Saturday, Mr. Naidu said the Telangana government was making an issue out of nothing. There was no scope for the TS government to take unilateral decisions.

As there was no consensus regarding certain issues they could not be settled and the Centre should intervene to settle them, he said.
He said he wanted the issues to be settled in a cordial and amicable manner.
However, the Telangana government was taking an aggressive posture, he said.

The unilateral appointments, asking power employees of Andhra region to go at midnight hour was not acceptable. They were appointed under 6-point formula, he said.
Mr. Naidu reiterated that Hyderabad continue to be common capital for both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana State for 10 years.
Section 8 AP Reorganisation Act makes it clear that the Governor is in-charge of the law and order in Hyderabad. “We expect the Governor act positively,” he said.
Hyderabad Special Correspondent adds: In a move to de-escalate the tensions between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Governments on bifurcation of schedule X institutions, Governor E.S.L.Narasimhan may give a direction for maintenance of status quo till the issue is resolved by the Union Government or the Supreme Court.
After a meeting with the Andhra Pradesh Higher Education Department officials, Chief Secretary I.Y.R. Krishna Rao met the Governor here on Saturday and took to his notice two more controversial decisions taken by Ambedkar Open University and Potti Sriramulu Telugu University and sought his intervention.
