NTPC funds additional rooms in school for special children

Ramagundam legislator Korukanti Chander distributing uniforms donated by NTPC Ramagundam to the students of Manochaitanya Special School in Godavarikhani in Peddapalli district on Tuesday.

Ramagundam legislator Korukanti Chander formally inaugurated the two additional rooms at Shridarmashasthra Old Age Centre and roof top solar power plant at Manochaithanya, school for specially-abled persons, in Godavarikhani on Tuesday.

As part of its corporate social responsibility programme, the NTPC Ramagundam, had constructed additional rooms at a cost of ₹ 15 lakh and installed the solar power plant at a cost of ₹ 7 lakh. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Chander appreciated the NTPC for its concern for the old age people as well as for specially challenged children with the construction of additional rooms and rooftop grid-connected solar power plant.

These facilities will help these needy people to have a better life, he added. During this occasion, the chief guest, along with others, distributed uniforms to 85 boys and 45 girls at Manochaithanya special school. AGM (HR-CSR) Rafiqul and other officials from CSR and CIVIL-TAD were present on the occasion.
