Telangana State Committee of the Communist Party of India (Maoist) has called for a State bandh on May 4 in protest against the recent encounters in Chhattisgarh and appealed to people to condemn killing of naxal cadre.
In a statement released to local newsmen here, CPI (Maoist) Telangana state committee secretary Jagan said the State government had launched ‘Operation Samadhan’ with an aim to finish Maoist movement in the country by 2020. The attacks on Maoists increased after Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Chhattisgarh in second week of April. The government was conspiring to allocate precious forest lands to multi-nationals and those opposed to it were being eliminated brutally.
The recent encounter at Gadchiroli and Friday’s encounter at Vaipeta in Bijapur district where eight naxals were killed and killing of three naxals on Saturday in Sukma district were all part of the conspiracy of the government.

The Telangana government in the name of protecting security along river Godavari was sending Greyhounds forces into Chhattisgarh state and attacking Maoist party cadre.
“People in large numbers should condemn these one-sided and brutal ‘encounters’ and observe a bandh on May 4 across the state,” Maoist leader Jagan said.
