In an appalling incident, a 30-year-old was killed by his friend at Mangal Tanda village under Kodad rural police station limits here on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Dharwath Jinta alias Babu.
According to Kodad rural police, the deceased allegedly stole Rs. 20 from his friend Dharwath Nageshwar Rao’s (32) pocket today morning. The duo had an argument over it and when, Jinta was proceeding towards his house, Nageshwar Rao hit him on his head from behind. The villagers shifted him to a hospital in Kodad where the doctors declared him brought dead. Following a complaint, the police have taken Nageshwar Rao into custody. Both belong to Mangal Tanda.
