KITS students donate blood

The Student Activity Centre (SAC) and Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Sciences, NSS unit, organised a blood donation camp in the auditorium on the college campus on Wednesday.

KITS director Y. Manohar inaugurated the camp and urged students to go forward with the slogan ‘donate blood, save lives’.

“Our students have been giving more importance to social service. We are holding this camp in memory of Swamy Vivekananda and Ramakrishna Paramhamsa,” he said.

Principal prof. K. Guru Raj said that students and faculty have donated 310 units of blood to the Indian Red Cross society.

Student affairs dean prof. K. Sridhar, NSS coordinators V. Chandrashaker Rao and Y. Bhavani, Dr. K.G.K. Murthy, among others, took part.
