His son and Information Technology Minister K.T. Rama Rao participated in the rituals that commenced at 10.48 a.m. His daughter Kavitha, MP of Nizamabad, and other relatives were present.

The Chief Minister initially proposed to move into the Ministers’ bungalows at Kundanbagh where two bungalows occupied by senior officials were also vacated and modifications taken up. A puja was also conducted on the premises but the proposal was given up within days as the location was congested.
