Japanese food major to set up egg processing plant

The unit will come up near Siddipet

Japanese food processing major ISE Foods will set up an egg processing unit near Siddipet soon (Narmeta village of Nangnur mandal) with the State government handing over the necessary documents for permission, along with incentive details, here on Monday.

Minister for IT, Industries and Municipal Administration & Urban Development, K.T. Rama Rao handed over the papers to ISE Foods chairman Nobushiko in the presence of adviser to Japan PM Mitsuhiro Miyakoshi, besides his Cabinet colleagues Eatala Rajender (Finance), P. Mahender Reddy (Transport) and IT & Secretary Jayesh Rajan.

The proposed facility will also have a training centre in poultry technology.

ISE Foods has also entered into an agreement with Pullela Gopichand Badminton Academy to provide nutrition support to players preparing for upcoming Tokyo Olympics 2020.

Mr. Rama Rao assured all possible assistance to Japanese investors willing to invest here.

Finance Minister Rajender said Telangana is already the ‘Egg Capital’ of the country besides leading in chick production. It is rapidly transforming as the ‘Seed Bowl’ of the country and welcomed Japanese investors to explore opportunities in food processing sector.

Mr Miyakoshi said the government should create a food value chain to realise maximum potential of the farm produce. ISE Foods chairman Mr. Nobushiko thanked the government for the speed with which the processes were cleared and promised to consider Telangana for future expansion.
