The State government is contemplating to introduce life history of former Prime Minister P.V. Narasimha Rao in the school syllabus, said B. Vinod Kumar, Karimnagar Member of Parliament.
Participating in the 94th birth anniversary celebrations of P.V. Narasimha Rao on the premises of Karimnagar dairy in the town on Sunday, Mr. Kumar said that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is firm on introducing the life history of Mr. Narasimha Rao in the school syllabus from this academic year. Lauding Mr Narasimha Rao for introducing the economic reforms for the progress of the country which was in doldrums during the period, he promised to install the life-size statue of Mr. Narasimha Rao in the town very soon. Stating that there was no statue of Narasimha Rao in Karimnagar, which is his native district, he found fault with the Congress party for not giving him due recognition. He also alleged that the Congress party had insulted the former Prime Minister by not performing his funeral in New Delhi.
