Congress leaders have accused Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao of making promises which are not possible to implement, only to hoodwink people.

Addressing the gathering of party workers after launching membership drive in Banswada town on Thursday, former Minister and MLC Mohammed Ali Shabbir criticised the Government saying that it is removing pensions without showing proper reason. Even eligible people are not sure of getting pensions and other social security benefits, he said.

Former APCC president and MLC, D. Srinivas, said that people will give a fitting lesson to the TRS if it fails to fulfill all the promises made at the time of elections. He said Mr. Rao is still making promises without implementing the old ones.

He said the Congress will always be with people even if it is defeated in elections. "We are not bothered about our electoral defeat," he said while calling upon the party workers to work with unity to expose the failures of the government.

Former Member of Parliament Suresh Shetkar, DCC president Taher Bin Hamdan, former president Gadugu Gangadhar, party leaders Srinivas Yadav, Srinivas Goud and Kasula Balraj were present.
