he Telangana government has finalised three new IT growth corridors in Budwel, Miyapur and Tellapur, where around 250 acres of land for each corridor would be made available for private players to move in and help develop facilities under Public, Private Partnership (PPP) mode.
“The lands belong to the government, so investors can look at building infrastructure facilities like what the Rahejas and others have done in Hi-Tec City, Gachibowli and other areas,” said IT Secretary Jayesh Ranjan, at an investors’ meet organised to tap opportunities in urban growth area in Telangana, here on Tuesday.
Representatives from 25 nationwide firms participated in the interactive session chaired by Minister for IT K.T. Rama Rao.

An Electronics Manufacturing Policy would be unveiled within the next fortnight and the State was looking for partners to take up clusters at Maheshwaram and near Fab City where interested developers could take up basic infrastructure work and get clients to set up bases. More than 600 acres was available at these sites.
Another 250 acres was earmarked at Mamidipally for building five million sq ft of built-up space for ‘plug and play’ office space. Besides, the government was already going for expansion of the second phase of T-Hub on a 10-acre site at Raidurg at a cost of Rs. 180 crore and aimed to provide 3.5 lakh sq ft space.
The IT Secretary claimed that several national and international IT and mobile manufacturers were showing interest in setting up their respective bases here. An ‘Image Tower’ too is coming up under the PPP mode providing six lakh sq ft of built up space for firms dealing with animation and gaming.

Earlier, Industries Secretary Arvind Kumar showcased the investment potential in the Pharma City where the government has managed to secure 5,000 acres and proposals to utilise 6,000 acres have come in. The government intends to have the Pharma City spread over 14,500 acres where firms can put up labs, university, township, entertainment centres, clinical trial facilities, and so on. A health city proposal too is on the cards, including a varsity and other amenities.
Special Chief Secretary, Municipal Administration and Urban Development, M.G. Gopal, in his presentation, sought investments in Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP) and counter magnets development totalling Rs. 25,783 crore.
There was also the expressway alongside Musi river – Skyway plus radial roads in two phases of Rs. 2,715 crore and Rs. 1,859 crore, riverfront development plan, Hussainsagar remediation, new reservoirs, etc.
