Four boys meet watery grave

Two students drowned in a tank at Gudagudem village near IDA Bollaram in Jinnaram mandal on Saturday.

According to sources, four students from a college in Kukatpally came to have a bath late on Saturday night in a drunken condition. Two of them failed to swim and drowned. The victims were identified as Sai and Ravi Teja, both aged about 20 years. Their bodies were shifted to the government hospital for post-mortem. Police registered a case.

Adilabad Special Correspondent adds: Two teenaged boys belonging to Kasba Nishan Galli in Nirmal town drowned in a local tank on Sunday.

According to the police, Md. Abu Sofian and Md. Noman, both aged 14 years and studying in Class VIII of different private schools met a watery grave in the Manjulapur tank. They had played cricket and entered the water to clean themselves when the incident took place. Noman died while trying to save Sofian who was drowning.
