Nagarjuna Akkineni aka Nag, as he is popular, gets his kicks doing something new with virtually every film he signs. And with PVP Cinema’s new movie, there is excitement on more than one count, as the unit takes off for Europe this weekend to can a major portion of the film. Interestingly, there are many firsts with the casting. It is for the first time that director Vamshi Paidipally is directing Nag. This apart, it is a first for Vamshi and lead actors Karthi and the glamorous Tamanna. None of them have worked with the other till now. And when someone like Nag, with his charm and style, teams up with a much-younger Karthi (brother of Suriya), expectations begin to mount. Now, this PVP production will mean that for the first time ever, a south Indian film will be shot in breathtaking locations of Belgrade. From there, the unit will move to Paris and Lyons in France before packing up in Ljubljana.
While P.S. Vinod is behind the camera, Gopi Sunder scores the music for this multi-starrer that will hit the screens in the later part of the year.
Mahesh Babu fans
in for a surprise
There might be a big surprise in store for superstar Mahesh Babu’s fans. Since the past few weeks, director Sekhar Kammula and Mahesh Babu have been holding discussions regarding a future project. In 2012 too, there was talk of the duo joining hands. After that, an incident in 2013 threatened to strain relations between the two. Sekhar sided with Samantha when she tweeted that Mahesh’s poster of ‘One’ movie portrayed women in a regressive manner. The latest development, however, shows things are fine.
