‘Develop Erragunta pond as tourist spot’

April 12, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:36 am IST

Erragunta pond in Shaikpet near old Bombay highway was used by locals for irrigation, but it dried up last year. It was recently fenced but locals broke through it and began dumping garbage besides using it as a urinal. The pond has become unhygienic and authorities have neglected it. I request authorities to take up steps to restore it or develop it to attract tourists.

Roads in bad shape

Roads from Radhika multiplex to Sainikpuri petrol station in Dr. A.S. Rao Nagar are in a bad state after six months of digging and repair works. The stretch from ECIL X roads to Radhika multiplex is also in bad shape. Will the authorities take immediate action to provide relief to commuters?

High charges

Given the high charges being levied at MeeSeva centres, which can be a burden for many, the Electricity Department should allow their billing staff to collect payment from customers, like the HMWSSB collecting money for water bills, at the time of issuing the bill. This will save time and benefit customers.
