CPI (M) conference in Kamareddy from Dec. 29

December 20, 2014 12:04 am | Updated 12:04 am IST - NIZAMABAD:

The two-day 20 district conference of the CPI (M) will be held at Kamareddy from December 29. In connection with the conference a huge rally and public meeting will be organised on 29, according to Peddi Venkatramulu, the party district secretary.

Talking to reporters here on Friday, he said that the two-day conference scheduled to be held on December 19 and 20 was deferred to the above mentioned dates following certain reasons. The party already completed division level meetings in the district, he said.

The CPI(M) leader criticised that despite number of farmers’ suicides Government remained silent not even giving statements to instil courage and confidence among the peasant community. A young farmer M. Praveen Reddy (28) ended life at Tadbiloli village a couple of days ago, but no elected representative went to the bereaved family to console it, he pointed out. Mr. Venkatramulu demanded that pensions should be sanctioned without any condition to the aged, differently-abled, widows and poor persons who were in different occupations such as weaving and toddy tapping. The party leaders A. Ramesh Babu and Dandi Venkati were also present.
