A man and woman, said to be depressed over the refusal of their families to allow them to get married, committed suicide by consuming pesticide. The bodies were found at a lemon orchard at Madgulapally village on Tuesday. The deceased, Naresh, 22, native of Narayanapuram village of Nidamanur mandal, and Navaneetha, 21, resident of Zapthi Veerappagudem of Miryalaguda mandal, were classmates during their graduation days in Miryalaguda town. According to Thipparthy police, Navaneetha was married off to a youth on April 2 against her wishes. A case was registered.
