Cops rewarded for saving pregnant woman

Adilabad Superintendent of Police Tarun Joshi on Saturday gave away cash rewards to three policemen of Rakshak team at Nirmal for saving the life of a pregnant woman, Mekala Lakshmi, in the early hours of Friday. The policemen, ASI G. Narsaiah, constable K. Srinivas and home guard D. Shekhar, found the woman in labour pains at Nirmal bus stop where they had gone to take a bus to Adilabad. They immediately took her to a nearby hospital and arranged for safe delivery saving the lives of the mother and the child.
