‘Complete change in higher education soon’

Telangana University Registrar R. Limbadri has called upon the varsity teaching community to be prepared for the changes coming in higher education system soon.

Interacting with the teachers on the occasion of reopening of the colleges after 45-day summer vacation, on the campus on Monday, he said that efforts were on to introduce the choice-based credit system (CBCS) by the University Grants Commission at undergraduate and post graduate levels.

Simplified education system enabling the students to pursue the course of their choice and subject would be made available at the college of their choice through the CBCS, he said disclosing that the UGC and the RUSA funds would come to the varsity when it gets the NAAC accreditation .

He asked the teaching community to prepare academic calendar and plan beforehand to get the NAAC. To turn the university green and beautiful, colleges and the NCC units should come forward to undertake the ‘Haritha Haram’ programme, he said.

University college principal Prof. Satyanarayana Chary and other faculty members were present.
