Collector comes down hard on hospital staff

Show-cause notices issued

Collector Krishna Bhaskar on Thursday came down hard on the paramedical staff of the Government Area Hospital in Sircilla textile town for dereliction of their duties.

Mr. Bhaskar suspended junior assistant Md. Javeed for misguiding the district administration and paying wages to the staff of the hospital without taking into account the biometric attendance.

He also removed a private data entry operator, B. Sai Krishna, from service for failing to provide CCTV footage and biometric attendance of staff.

The Collector issued show-cause notices to medical superintendent R. Tirupathi for failing to control the administration, office superintendent Md. Nazeemullah Khan for abstaining from duty and signing the attendance register and intentionally keeping the CCTV cameras and biometric attendance defunct, and senior assistant Md. Kutubuddin and junior assistant Vasudeva Kumar for abstaining from duty without permission.

Mr. Bhaskar informed the officials to respond to the show-cause notices within two days or else departmental action would be initiated.
