Member of Parliament K. Kavitha said that mobile veterinary hospitals would come to the grazing sheep units in the event of outbreak of diseases. Every eligible person of the shepherd community was being provided with sheep since the Chief Minister aims to empower them financially, she said.
Giving away sheep units to Golla Kurumas at a programme at Chavidi in Bodhan town on Sunday, she appealed to the community to avail the society membership in case they had not availed it yet. She also said that the fish seedlings dropped in tanks and rivers were yielding positive results to the benefit of fishermen.
Ms. Kavitha said that the TRS government led by Chandrashekar Rao was extending financial assistance to all the artisan communities such as potters, barbers, carpenters, blacksmiths, goldsmiths, Goudas and washermen, for their development. She said artisans were significant for rural development. She also said that she would sanction amount from her MPLAD fund for the construction of a community hall for Golla Kurumas at Bodhan and help distribute seed for growing grass as fodder for sheep at subsidised rates. She laid the foundation of the Government offices’ complex.
