CM to take up pending issues with Modi

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao who left for New Delhi for a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday afternoon is expected to request the latter to resolve all pending issues with Centre since the formation of the State.

Topping the list will be issue of a fresh Presidential Order, incorporating the new zonal system finalised by the State government, and reservation for SCs, STs, BCs and minorities beyond the permitted limit by including the proposal in Schedule IX of the Constitution to circumvent judicial review.

Mr. Rao will be meeting Mr. Modi for the first time since the former canvassed for federal front, meeting leaders of regional parties in other States. He will remain in the capital till Sunday when he will attend Chief Ministers conference convened by NITI Aayog.
