‘Chief Ministers of A.P., TS should resign’

June 26, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:49 am IST - WARANGAL:

The Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana should resign from their posts as they have failed to discharge their functions and are engaged in settling personal scores, said Congress senior leader Ponnala Lakshmaiah.

Mr. Naidu was involved in the cash-for-votes scam and Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao was involved in the phone-tapping scandal. Both are raking up the issue of Section 8 only to divert public attention, leaving governance to the winds.

The Chief Ministers failed to honour the public mandate and instead of concentrating on good governance, they are engaged in cheap politics. Both betrayed the people who voted for them expecting welfare and development of their respective States, Mr. Lakshmaiah said.

During the past one year, the TRS government failed to deliver its promises.

The much talked about programmes and policies remained on paper.  “Very soon people will revolt against this government,” Mr. Lakshmaiah said.

“No section of society is happy with the TRS government. There are no jobs as promised, no regularization of services of contract and outsourcing employees, no development as promised. People expected wonders from the TRS party but they only got a raw deal, the Congress leader pointed out.
