Utnoor Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) project officer R.V. Karnan on Thursday asked Kerameri tahsildar to file police complaints against top Tourism and TSTransco officials for negligence. The officials stand accused of negligence which cost two Adivasis of Jodeghat village in Kerameri mandal their lives, one of them a six-year-old.
Mr. Karnan visited the families of the two ill-fated persons who had died of electrocution and drowning in an open well at the historic village a few days back. The tribals of the village were agitated and had forced work to be stopped on the Kumram Bheem memorial and museum being executed by the Tourism Department.
The project officer also asked that the headmaster of the primary school, of which the boy was a student, be penalised. He instructed to cut pay of the headmaster for two months.

Reviewing works at a meeting with officials at the hilly village, Mr. Karnan warned officials and contractors of stringent action in case of negligence. He wanted all works to resume apace and ordered completion of the Hatti-Babejhari stretch of the road by December 15.
On the drinking water situation, he took to task the Rural Water Supply officials for delay in supply of safe drinking water to all tribal habitations between Kerameri and Jodeghat. He asked the officials to ensure that water is supplied to every home in the village in the next two days.
