The budding sportsmen of the Tribal Welfare Residential Sports School at Kinnerasani in Palvancha mandal have yet again proved their mettle.

After the spirited performance by five students of the school in the national level volleyball tournament at the fag end of last year, three budding archers of the same school bagged an opportunity to participate in the sub-junior national archery championship to be held in Jharkhand later this month.

Three budding archers of the school P Ravinder, P Nagesh and K Naveen have emerged triumphant in the sub-junior State archery meet held in Hyderabad on Monday, said Putta Shankaraiah, physical director, Sports School, Kinnerasani.

The trio had secured berths in the State archery team that will participate in the ensuing sub-junior national archery championship slated to be held in Jharkhand from January 17-22.

Their remarkable accomplishment in the very first week of the New Year is bound to motivate the other talented budding sportsmen of our institution to come out with flying colours in their sporting and academic pursuits in the year ahead, he remarked.

The sports school has produced several talented tribal sportsmen, who excelled in various State and national level archery, volleyball, athletic, and other sports tournaments besides securing government jobs under the sports quota.
