Bollywood actor Abhinav Shukla comes calling on Adivasis

The Adivasi villagers of Gundala in Kumram Bheem Asifabad district were in for a pleasant surprise on Tuesday when bollywood actor Abhinav Shukla came calling on them. He was taken to the remote village by Ramagunda Commissioner of Police Vikram Jeet Duggal, who is a childhood friend of the actor.

The Commissioner of Police and the actor were given a traditional musical welcome and they even danced with the Adivasis. They later broke bread with the villagers.

The Gond aboriginal tribes were all praise for Mr. Duggal who was instrumental in laying a road between Ottla and Gundala. They urged him to help them get a road connecting Rompalli and Gundala.

The top police official assured them of all possible help to improve their living conditions. He said the police would help them develop in terms of education, health and water among others.

The Police Department also distributed uniforms to schoolchildren, dhotis and sarees to villagers, besides mosquito nets and volleyball kits.

Among those who visited the village were Mancherial DCP M.S. Venugopal Rao and Asifabad DSP Satyanarayana.
