Bharatiya Janata Party State president K. Laxman will undertake ‘Praja Chaitanya Yatra’ from Zaheerabad from Tuesday to expose the failures and alleged misdeeds of ruling TRS Government.
The yatra would cover all the districts and enroute exclusive meetings with dalits, BCs and unemployed youth would be held, he said. “The Chief Minister duped dalits with false promises and so also the educated unemployed youth. The BCs are being considered as vote bank and are being hoodwinked with the fake promises. The BJP will go on this protest tour all through February and tell people how this government failed,” he said.
The BJP leader said Medaram Jatara was also neglected by the government. It was the BJP that printed brochures and distributed to Union Ministers seeking national festival status to the Adivasi fair. The government restricted itself to publicity and lip service, he alleged. The BJP cadre would offer voluntary services at the jatara and help devotees by setting up medical camps, helpline desks, distribute water, milk and food sachets at Medaram.

“We have invited Union Tribal Welfare Minister Jual Oram and he will come to Medaram on February 2. Maharashtra Governor Ch. Vidyasagar Rao and several others will visit the jatara. These efforts are to highlight the jatara and secure national festival status,” Mr. Laxman said.
Though lakhs of people started visiting the jatara, there were no facilities in place as of now. There was no proper transport, no toilets and drinking water at Medaram village.
Referring to disqualification of AAP MLAs in Delhi, the BJP leader demanded that the seven TRS MLAs, who were appointed as Parliamentary secretaries, should also be disqualified else they would meet Governor and represent the issue.

“The Chief minister promised houses to journalists in Warangal. Did he deliver the promise? The State Government failed to sanction fund for Textile Park. The Centre gave ₹100 crore for the textile park,” he said.
