A group of Telangana Rashtra Samithi party workers led by Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari visited the Prakashreddypeta area on Hanamkonda outskirts and held bhumi puja at proposed public meeting venue on Monday.
It was selected as venue for the proposed public meeting of the ruling party scheduled to be held on April 27. The party had planned to hold its 16th Foundation Day celebrations here.
Civil Supplies Corporation Chairman Peddi Sudarshan, who was named in-charge for the purpose, had set up a camp office at the spot and started working. Clearing the area of bushes, levelling the ground and digging up borewells were initiated.

Mr. Srihari, Minister A. Chandulal, media in-charge Gudimalla Ravi Kumar, MLA D. Vinay Bhaskar, Mayor N. Narender, KUDA Chairman M. Yadava Reddy were among those present.
The TRS held its first public meeting at KDC grounds on June 21 in 2001. On December 16, 2010, the party held a massive public meeting ‘Telangana Maha Garjana’ which set a record with public attendance of 20 lakh at the present venue – Prakashreddypeta.
Later, Mr. Srihari held a meeting with the revenue and municipal officials. He wanted them to complete pending works in Prakashreddypeta such as roads and sanitation ahead of the public meeting.

After plenary at Hyderabad on April 21, the ruling party will hold its public meeting here commemorating the 16th Foundation Day of the party. It would be addressed by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and senior leaders will explain people the achievements of the State Government since formation of the state.
