Andhra Pradesh government has issued orders appointing Specified Authority for the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams in place of the existing Trust Board. In the orders issued on Monday, Principal Secretary, Revenue (Endowments) J.C. Sharma said the Specified Authority was appointed under Section 137 of Andhra Pradesh Charitable ad Hindu Religious Institutions and Endowments Act, 1987.
Mr. Sharma, who is holding full additional charge as the Principal Secretary, Revenue (Endowments), will head the Specified Authority as Chairman with immediate effect and the authority would exercise all the powers and perform all the functions of the Board.
