Propelled by a passion for miniature art, a young micro artist of this tiny village has been pursuing his favourite art form passionately to promote scientific temper among the youth and spread the message of universal peace and brotherhood.
Chunduru Pavan Kumar, 21, of a farmer’s family, has brought laurels to this small village by carving out miniature pieces of artefacts using waste and discarded material. He nurtured his childhood passion for drawing with remarkable zeal and gradually switched over to the miniature art in pursuit of his artistic endeavour.
The remarkable accomplishments of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) in the space technology and its landmark space missions found expression in the miniature artworks of Pavan.

The young micro artist carved spectacular images of Gautham Buddha, the cross of Christ, various Hindu Gods, and objects of decorative value such as aquarium with needles. Pavan, who did his Intermediate vocational course with specialization in Automobile Engineering Technician, found a niche for himself in exploring innovative scientific ideas to design appropriate technological applications in automobile technology sphere.
I have prepared the miniature pieces of art by mainly using the waste and discarded material such as abandoned chargers, batteries, display screens and other components of disused cell phones and redundant spare parts of toys and other material, says Pavan.
My aim is to raise awareness on creating wealth of artefacts out of waste and inculcate scientific temper among the youth through the vibrant art form, he asserts, claiming that he had designed a working model of an advanced safety side stand controller recently.
