‘Aksharabhyasam mandapam’ inaugurated at Basar

The new ‘Aksharabhyasam mandapam’ at Basar’s famous Gnana Saraswati Temple, constructed at a cost of Rs.5 crore, was inaugurated on Friday by Endowment Minister A. Indrakaran Reddy and Forest Minister Jogu Ramanna. They also inaugurated the new dormitory built at a cost of Rs.4 crore during their visit to inspect works related to the Godavari Pushkaralu.

The Ministers, accompanied by Adilabad MP G. Nagesh and Mudhole MLA G. Vittal Reddy, said the government had sanctioned Rs.50 crore for the the Pushkaralu at Basar alone. They said the government would provide all facilities to devotees coming to the temple town for the event in July.

Inspecting the bathing ghats and other facilities under construction, the Ministers asked the executing agency to complete all works by the first week of July. They were also asked to construct separate changing rooms for men and women and showers for the old.
