After bypoll, transferred officials reappointed

D.S. Lokesh Kumar, a 2003-batch IAS officer, and Shahnawaz Qasim, an IPS officer of the 2003 batch, have been reappointed as Collector and Superintendent of Police of Khammam district respectively by the State government, official sources said. Both of them were transferred by the State government as per the directions of the Election Commission (EC) on April 26, nearly 20 days before the by-election Palair Assembly seat held on May 16. M. Dana Kishore, a senior IAS officer of the 1996 batch, and Rama Rajeshwari, a 2009-batch IPS officer, had been appointed in their place during that period.

With the completion of the by-election process, the State government reappointed Mr. Lokesh Kumar and Mr. Shahnawaz Qasim in the same posts in the district.

Mr. Dana Kishore was transferred and posted as the Managing Director of Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board. Ms. Rama Rajeshwari was posted as SP of Mahabubnagar district.
