The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) has taken strong exception to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu writing a letter to the Krishna River Management Board (KRMB) seeking its intervention to stop Telangana from generating power at Srisailam and Nagarajunasagar hydro-electric generation stations.
Condemning AP’s letter, Telangana Finance Minister Eatala Rajender suggested Mr. Naidu on Tuesday to stop indulging in politics on power issue knowing very well that the crisis has been claiming lives of farmers.
Addressing a press conference, he sought to know why Mr. Naidu was brazenly violating the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act by denying 54 per cent power generated in the installations in AP territory.

The AP government was utilising power in the common capital, but was denying the judicious share of 54 per cent power generation in AP to Telangana.
Recounting Mr. Naidu’s conspiracy to trouble Telangana from day one on the issue of power, the TRS leader said the former had unveiled his vicious plans by unilaterally scrapping the power purchase agreements.
Mr. Rajender said if it was proper to generate power till 832 ft water level in Srisailam through GO 69 in 1996 when Mr. Naidu was the Chief Minister of combined AP, how could he fault power generation when the level was 860 ft.
