Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) general secretary P. Muralidhar Rao has said Telangana Rashtra Samithi was a family party and was carrying on with undemocratic practices.
Speaking to newsmen here on Sunday, he alleged that the ruling TRS party was luring MLAs of other political parties and trying to decimate those parties. It was not a good practice in a democracy. The BJP would stand tall and play a constructive role, he said. “We appeal to all democratic individuals and parties to join the BJP,” he said.
Mr. Muralidhar Rao said the TRS was completely against the principles of democracy however, the Central Government headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi would help the State Government in its development for the sake of people of the State.

Despite the political differences, the NDA would strengthen the newly-formed State, he added. It had already released Rs. 45,000 crore for infrastructure development of Telangana, he observed.
“The BJP is focusing on gaining power in 2019 in Telangana. It is focusing on strengthening the cadre network. Party president Amit Shah had come twice and will come again on September 17 to take part in Telangana Liberation Day,” he said.
The BJP leader said the Prime Minister would come on August 7 and address the party cadre besides taking part in various development works. Party workers from booth level would attend the meeting and carry forward the message of Mr. Modi and what the Government did for people of the country during last two and half years.

Seeks Kadiam’s resignation
Mr. Muralidhar Rao has demanded the resignation of Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari taking moral responsibility of the EMACET-II leak scandal. He said that Mr. Srihari had become a liability on the State Government. “The Minister played havoc with the students’ academic careers and has no moral right to continue in the post. The scandal exposed the administrative abilities of Mr. Srihari,” he said.
