Stir for tribal councils continues on day two

The ‘Jeep Jatha’, being organised by the Girijana Samkshema Parishad (GSP) demanding formation of tribal autonomous councils in Khammam district for self-governance, reached the remote Perur village in Wajedu mandal on the second day of the campaign on Friday. The GSP activists toured several remote tribal habitations in the mandal as part of the ongoing ‘Jeep Jatha’ to mobilise public opinion in favour of formation of the councils in Bhadrachalam, Utnoor and Eturnagaram to uphold self-governance in the Scheduled areas.
