The NTPC Ramagundam, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, launched a three-month vocational skill development programme for local youth in Elkapalli village of Ramagundam mandal on Thursday. About 20 youth from the nearby villages would be imparted training in electrical motor winding and house-wiring, and help them secure self-employment in their villages. The NTPC will bear the cost of the training, course material, and faculty charges. The training programme was inaugurated by village sarpanch P. Srinivas. The programme is coordinated by Creche, an NGO.
