Protests continue to rock various mandals of Siddipet and Husnabad regions against the bifurcation of Karimnagar district on Tuesday.

People living in the Sircilla division have come on to the roads to lodge their protests against not declaring Sircilla as a district. In Mustabad mandal headquarters, people have set fire to the effigies of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and Minister for IT K Taraka Rama Rao.

In Sircilla town, the protestors burnt tyres on the road in protest. They also conducted padayatra from Sircilla to Vemulawada flaying the State government for not declaring Sircilla as a district, which is represented by Minister for IT K Taraka Rama Rao. In the meantime, the protests continued in Husnabad and Koheda mandals opposing their merger with the proposed Siddipet district and demanded their continuation in Karimnagar district. The protestors took out rallies and staged dharnas causing traffic snarls on busy roads. The police dispersed the mob by resorting to mild lathi charge in Husnabad.
