The Bodhan police solved the sensational double-murder case that took place at Langdapur village on the intervening night of January 2 and 3, by arresting the two accused persons.
Presenting the accused Gaini Nagesh and another person with the same name, who hailed from Rakasipet in Bodhan, before the media here on Friday, Commissioner of Police Kartikeya said previous grudges between the deceased, Pathari Saikumar, and Gaini Nagesh, accused number one, over the sale of a mobile phone led to the offence.
Giving details of the case, Mr. Katikeya said that as per the plan hatched by Gaini Nagesh, 22, son of Sailu, along with another Gaini Nagesh, 28, son of Lalappa, invited 25-year-old Saikumar and his friend Ashok, 22, to Bellal tank area to drink with them. After purchasing liquor at Bodhan town, they travelled to the spot on the bike of Saikumar.

While they were drinking, 22-year-old Gaini received a phone call from a woman in Lagdapur. Then, all the four persons proceeded to Langdapur on the same bike.
According to the plan, the accused stopped the bike on the Langdapur bridge, and Gaini, Saikumar, and Ashok went by the stream to attend nature’s call.
When Gaini and Saikumar left the spot, 28-year-old Nagesh hit Ashok on the head with a boulder, and later Gaini and Nagesh stopped Saikumar and repeatedly hit him with boulders. Confirming that both Ashok and Saikumar were dead, the accused rushed from the spot on Saikumar’s bike.

The police recovered the bike and a mobile phone. The Commissioner said that the case was solved on the basis of a tag on the shirt of one of the deceased.
