The bandh call given by opposition parties demanding the Government waiving off farm loans with a single stroke, got mixed response from the public. Most of the leaders and workers were arrested in the morning itself, and there was no one to enforce the bandh resulting in opening of shops in the afternoon. There was no adverse impact on the life of common man.

From morning onwards the police arrested the leaders who came to bus depots to hold dharna. Without giving much time, the leaders were arrested and shifted to police stations.

At the district headquarters a dhara and bike rally was held by the Congress party in which DCC president V. Sunitha Lakshma Reddy former deputy chief minister C. Damodar Rajanarasimha, former whip T. Jayaprakash Reddy and others participated.

Though the bandh call was given by all political parties except TRS, these parties organised programmes separately instead of coming on to a single platform. One after the other political parties organised these agitations.

Earlier, Sunitha Lakshma Reddy, TDP district President Sashikala Yadava Reddy, BJP former legislator K. Satyananarayana were arrested by the police and released.
