Young artistes from different corners of the State showcased their talents, highlighting India’s rich multicultural traditions, on the concluding day of the State-level youth festival in Bhadrachalam on Wednesday.
The picturesque surroundings of the Karakatta (flood bank) along the banks of the Godavari in the temple town came alive on Wednesday evening with a flurry of cultural activity involving scores of young artistes from all over Telangana State. The culmination of the three-day youth festival was marked by scintillating folk dance performances, a cultural procession and a spectacular firework display.
As many as 950 young artistes from all the 10 districts of Telangana State participated in a total of 18 cultural events, including Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Odissi, Kathak and Manipuri dances, Hindustani and Carnatic music, sitar, veena, flute and harmonium competitions during the three-day fete.

The winners of the State-level fete will participate in the national-level youth festival to be held in Raipur in Chhattisgarh from January 12.
