Governor not protecting democracy: Errabelli Dayakar

June 19, 2015 01:49 pm | Updated November 16, 2021 04:59 pm IST - WARANGAL:

We lost trust on Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Governor. His conduct is not acceptable to us as he is not protecting democracy, E.Dayakar Rao told newsmen in Warangal on Friday.

Telugu Desam Party MLA Errabelli Dayakar Rao has said they objected to the conduct of Governor and sought an explanation from him on how he administered oath of office as minister to T. Srinivas Yadav when he was elected on TDP ticket.

“We lost trust on Governor. His conduct is not acceptable to us as he is not protecting democracy,” Mr. Dayakar Rao told newsmen here on Friday.

The TRS leaders too found fault with the Governor in the past branding him as anti-Telangana and Mr. Harish Rao and KCR approved inclusion of Section 8 in the bifurcation bill. The TDP was now asking for the implementation of Section 8 and nothing more.

The TDP leader said that they had evidence that the TRS Government resorted to illegal tapping of phones belonging to Andhra Pradesh ministers and Chief Minister. They had also asked the ACB officials to probe into the telephone conversation of all TRS leaders with TDP MLAs during the past six months to know who lured whom.

“Is it not fact that Mr. KCR went to residence of T. Srinivas Yadav two times offering him ministry if he joined the ruling TRS party? Is it not a fact that Parkal MLA went on record that he joined TRS as he was offered Rs. 250 crore worth contracts?” Mr. Dayakar Rao sought to know.

Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao sold away party tickets during elections and one candidate for Hyderabad MP seat openly acknowledged it, he alleged. There were several instances and they should be brought to light and ACB should book cases against Mr KCR and others, he opined.

The one-year of rule by the TRS did not do any good to any section of the society. It was KCR’s family that benefitted with the formation of separate Telangana, he alleged. The Chief Minister had been hoodwinking people promising impracticable programmes, the TDP leader added.
