Congress former MLA G.V. Ramana Reddy condemned the attack on MLA Chinna Reddy by some TRS party cadre and alleged that the State Government was discriminating against the Congress party MLAs.
The ruling party was not according due protocol to the elected public representatives of the Congress party and was humiliating them at every opportunity. When Mr. Chinna Reddy questioned about protocol, the TRS party workers manhandled him. The Governor should intervene and ensure action against those who attacked the MLA, the Congress leader said.
Mr. Ramana Reddy said that the ruling TRS party lost credibility and was unable to deliver its promises. Hence, the leaders and party workers were attacking the Opposition parties when they raised the genuine issues. “The Chief minister camped here in Warangal and laid foundation stones for housing. What happened after that? He has not released any funds for development,” the Congress leader said demanding that the State Government release Rs. 100 crore for repairs to roads in Warangal District.

He appealed to people to be ready to question the Chief Minister when he comes back here seeking votes in Warangal MP by-elections.
Mr. Ramana Reddy also alleged that the Chief Minister was trying to shift the Bhupalpalli Power Project to Nalgonda. “The Congress Government laid foundation for additional 800 MW power project. So far the present ruling party did not call for tenders or began works,” he said. He said he would go on indefinite hunger strike if the project was shifted to Nalgonda.
Scores of Congress party workers burned the effigy of the Chief Minister condemning the attack on MLA Chinna Reddy at the party office here in Hanamkonda.
