The Election Commission of India has announced the schedule for polls to the Legislative Council seats from two graduate constituencies in Telangana and two in Andhra Pradesh. The poll will take place on March 16 and the results will be declared on March 19.
The Constituencies are: Warangal – Nalgonda – Khammam and Hyderabad – Ranga Reddy – Mahabubnagar in Telangana, while Krishna-Guntur and East and West Godavari are the Teachers' Constituencies in Andhra Pradesh.
The notification will be issued on February 19, and the nominations will be accepted up to February 27. The withdrawal of nomination closes on March 2.

The ruling TRS is planning to field Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister Kadiyam Srihari from Warangal – Nalgonda – Khammam constituency which is witnessing heavy competition across parties. Mr. Srihari is however, yet to resign his membership of Lok Sabha.
He was elected from Warangal (SC) Parliamentary constituency.
Telugu Desam Party president N.Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday announced the names of A.S.Ramakrishna and K.V.V. Satyanarayana Raju as candidates from the two Andhra Pradesh constituencies.
