1,438 projects taken up under NABARD’s RIDF

The Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) of NABARD had taken up a total of 1,438 projects at a cost of Rs. 877.68 crore in Karimnagar district, said District Collector Neetu Prasad.

At a review meeting on the progress of RIDF works in Karimnagar on Saturday, the Collector said that a total of 255 projects worth Rs. 448 crore were at various stages of completion. Instructing the authorities to expedite the works, she said they would not tolerate delay in their execution. She informed the officials to submit the project completion reports to NABARD authorities. Giving details of the RIDF project works, she said they were taking up construction of 71 veterinary hospitals, 59 colleges and school buildings, 58 panchayat raj roads, 22 Mission Kakatiya works and nine lift irrigation schemes. NABARD Telangana general manager U.S. Showde, AGM Ravi Babu, Panchayat Raj SE Dasaratham and DRDA Project Director Arunasri were present.
