Giant textile park to come up in Warangal district soon

The State Government contemplates to come out with a budget of ₹ 12,000 crore for the uplift of Backward Classes and revive rural economy in Telangana, said Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.

Speaking to newsmen here on Friday, he said that the Government would give over 80 lakh sheep to Yadava and Kurma community. Similar gestures were being extended to fishermen, barbers and every other community in the State. The traditional vocations would be revived to strengthen the rural economy, he added.

The Congress rule for over four decades had resulted in utter chaos. “We have decided to construct 30,000 Green Saloons for Barbers, give ultra modern laundry equipment to washermen and help other communities as well,” the Chief Minister explained.

The Chief Minister was here to offer special prayers at Sri Veerabhadra Swamy temple at Kuravi and present 20.28 grams Golden Moustache costing ₹ 62,908. He announced ₹ 5 crore for the development of the temple. He also announced ₹ 1 crore each for development of Dornakal and Maripeda mandals and ₹ 25 lakh each for 77 Gram Panchayats in Dornakal Assembly constituency.

The proposed Kaleshwaram Project would soon turn erstwhile Warangal district into a more fertile district like East and West Godavari districts. Farmers can grow two crops against existing one crop a year, he observed.

Warangal stands to benefit from the fruits of separate Telangana. The land acquisition had been completed and a giant textile park would soon come up in the district.
