Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao said the welfare schemes being implemented by the State Government will provide an assurance to the poor.
Participating in various development programmes here in Monday, Mr. Harish Rao declared as many as 100 villages as revenue problem-free in Sangareddy district and appreciated the efforts put forth by District Collector Manickaraj Raj Kannan and revenue staff in this regard. He said that addressing revenue problems would make the payment of ₹ 4,000 per to farmers season by the Government easier.
“The district will become a model for the entire State once revenue problems in all villages were addressed. The administration has also taken a good initiative of extending birth certificates and death certificates to all and so far 48,000 such certificates were issued by the district administration,” said Mr. Harish Rao. He also appreciated the efforts made by district administration in implementation of ‘Ammaku Askharamala’ programme in the district.

Stating that the Government had spent ₹ 22 crore to assist solemnisation of more than 4,800 marriages under Kalayana Lakshim and Shaadi Mubarak programmes, he pointed out that the financial assistance had increased from ₹ 51,000 to ₹ 75,116.
Referring to the KCR Kit, the Minister said that the Government had been extending a financial assistance of ₹ 12,000 for male child and ₹ 13,000 for female child if the delivery took place on the Government hospital.
